Anchor Hanover, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of care and housing for people in later life has announced it will work with Fertifa to introduce a new reproductive health and fertility benefit for all its colleagues.
The partnership will enable Anchor Hanover’s staff to access a range of reproductive health services including virtual consultations with leading fertility doctors, discounted private fertility investigations and treatment, help to navigate NHS fertility treatment and 24/7 access to dedicated fertility advisors.
Ruth Petzold, equality, diversity and inclusion manager at Anchor Hanover said: “We believe that it’s essential to cement diversity and inclusion across our business. As well as being an important part of defining and developing our organisational culture, recognising and valuing our differences supports our colleagues’ wellbeing – helping them to thrive in the workplace.
“Adding fertility support and services to the employee benefits we offer is an important step in acknowledging the huge burden of emotional, physical and financial stress that many people experience as a direct result of fertility challenges.”
Tony Chen, managing director at Fertifa, said: “We’re really proud to be supporting Anchor Hanover in its positive and proactive approach to addressing fertility in the workplace, which is still a taboo subject for many.
“The number of people living with fertility challenges in the UK is huge. 1 in 6 couples need help to conceive, 80% of single women suffer from fertility decline whilst waiting to find the right partner and 100% of LGBTQ+ employees who are planning to start a family need help to do so. We estimate that right now in the UK around half of the workforce is facing a fertility challenge. The solution we offer to companies bridges the gap between employee and employer which is currently not addressed through employee assistance programmes, private healthcare or the NHS.”
Fertifa is a team of world-class healthcare professionals, employee benefits experts and fertility specialists who have experienced fertility challenges first-hand. The team has come together to make fertility care more accessible, inclusive and affordable for all UK workplace employees, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status. The company works with HR and workplace benefits teams to deliver a bespoke and cost-efficient fertility benefit for employees.
