March 2021 marks this year’s endometriosis awareness month – with a clear focus on breaking the taboo, both inside and outside the workplace. Themed as #EndoTheStigma, Endometriosis UK (the UK’s leading charity), is encouraging everyone to be more open about endometriosis – to talk, acknowledge and understand.
In the UK, one in 10 women suffer from endometriosis. There is no known cause of endometriosis and currently no definite cure. Although it does not necessarily solely cause infertility, as the second most common gynaecological condition in the UK, it can be related to fertility problems.
