New Women's Health Strategy 2026: 20 statistics that should be on every HR agenda

Our breakdown of the New Women's Health Strategy report includes:

20 key statistics and relevant guidance
Gaps in PMI around fertility, menopause, and pregnancy loss
Additional support services needed to fill the gaps

On April 15, 2026, the UK Government published the Renewed Women's Health Strategy, a 90-page statement of intent that highlights widening gaps in NHS care where women are waiting longer, being listened to less, and facing delayed diagnoses.

The statistics published in the report paint a stark picture of UK’s women’s health. For example, an endometriosis diagnosis currently carries an average wait of 9 years and 4 months, while waiting times for gynaecology appointments have surged to 15 weeks - a full quarter of reduced wellbeing for an employee.

To help HR leaders, we have distilled this 90-page government strategy into a high-impact report. Our HR guide includes 20 statistics from the report - and corresponding action plans - that should be on every HR agenda.

We hope you find it helpful!‍
