In the UK, 1 in 8 pregnancies end in loss during pregnancy or birth. Nearly 1 in 3 people who experience pregnancy loss suffer from PTSD in the month following.

Pregnancy loss or miscarriage can be a deeply traumatic experience, and this is often exacerbated in the absence of workplace support. 70% of people who experience pregnancy loss say support from a manager would have been beneficial.

With changes to the Employment Rights Bill expected to come into place in 2026, employees will soon gain the right to two weeks of unpaid bereavement leave following a pre-24 week pregnancy loss, now is more important than ever for HR teams and managers to review the pregnancy loss support you have in place.

Join Holly Rowland, Fertifa's Head of Clinical Services and Céline Crawford, Fertifa's Director of People and Operations, to learn about how pregnancy loss can impact people in the workplace, and how to support your colleagues who are affected.
